19th century or earlier Javanese keris. The 14 1/2" nine wave blade shows a good bright pamor pattern and raised grain from multiple ritual etchings. The handle and scabbard also show a very good glossy patina from age and use. Down the center in the space of the metal sleeve there is an old strip of tortoise shell. The blade fits the scabbard well, but it is not a perfect fit where they meet at the top. Overall measurement is 18 1/2"
