#OC210 Solomon Island woven wicker shield on a custom metal base. Round ended Solomon shields are rare and less common then the pointy end type. The original twine handle is intact, but some eof the edge binding is now missing, and there are slight losses to the rattan. 19th century or earlier. $2500.
