#OC223: Polynesian Kava bowl with nice dark patina. I am not sure which island this kava bowl originated in, as I am not an authority to be able to tell the difference between the Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa styles of bowl. The carving is well done with broad deep chisel marks, and a good dark patina from age and use. There are some small eroded areas on the lip and bowl surface, and one leg has a stable crack.

19th century Polynesia, 18” in diameter and 7” tall………….$2500.00
