19th century Moro Datu quality Barong with very large carved details and woven silver bands. The large proportions of the handle, and precious metals tell that this sword was for an important person or chief. Well made 17 3/4" blade shows a hardened edge. The handle is in very good condition with one very small chip, and one stable age crack. The scabbard is in fine condition, and has an old piece of cloth sewn on. 24 1/2" overall.
