Moro Fighting Kris #PH168

#PH168 Moro fighting kris sword with straight blade that shows a strong pattern down the center. The ganja and base of the blade are unusual as they are very slick and plain without intricate detail work. I believe this to be original and correct for this sword, and do not see any signs of re-working the metal; however I have never come across this before in the many Moro swords I have handled. The blade shows a good pattern down the center and a hardened cutting edge, but there are some battle nicks on one side of the blade. The handle has silver fittings, one silver stirrup, and the fiber wrapping look to have been stabilized and sealed in modern times. 19th century, 26" overall with a 21 1/2" blade SOLD.
