#PH181: 19th century Moro kampilan sword from the southern Philippines.
The high quality blade has a nice pattern, and is very interesting because it has a fuller carved into the blade near the top edge, a rare thing to see on a kampilan. Unfortunately the handle has not faired as well over time as it has been broken, and chewed on a little by rats. The worn over breaks and patina suggest that this sword was continued to be used for battle after the handle was broken. Good patina from age and use. 37" overall with a 28 1/2" blade......$275.00
