#PH308: Rare 19th century Moro Panabas fighting sword with a double edged blade The fine condition wood handle has three iron bands, multiple woven rattan bands, and a good patina from age and use. There was most likely an iron butt cap at one time that is now missing. The 18” blade is sharp on the top back edge for 9 1/2 inches as well as the normal bottom edge. It also shows a slight pattern with a hardened edge. This sword comes from the collection of Captain George Bradshaw who retired from the Navy in 1922. It is believed that he collected this sword (as well as the rest of his Moro
collection) while in the Philippines near the end of the 19th century. As a Lieutenant Bradshaw was honored in the Battle of Manila Bay, May 1, 1898. 19th century or earlier 36” overall with a 18” blade…………..Sold
