#PH313: Heavy 19th century Moro Fighting kris sword.
The handle is adorned with a large piece of mother of pearl set into silver at the butt end, and the two stirrups as well as the rest of the handle
bands and metal are silver. The original old braided twine handle
wrap is mostly present, but there is one band missing, and a small
area of loss on one side. The heavy and thick blade has a double
groove chiseled down the length, and shows a hardened edge, but I was
surprised to find no pattern in the center section when etched. The
scabbard is old, but not original to this sword as it is not a
perfect fit. 19th century, 29” overall with a 22 ½” blade………………Sold
