PH838: Unusual Philippine Dagger

A rare and unusual central Philippine dagger with animal (snake?) head handle. The well carved wood handle has a good patina from age and use. The collar is made of bronze and similar to what you see on very old Punal daggers. The blade shape is similar to Bagobo blades, but smaller and with a very good active pattern showing.     

16.5 inches overall with a 12 inch blade. 19th century, Central Philippines.    ....$650.00
