AF655: Maasai Seme Sword

A very large and early Maasai Seme sword. The long and heavy double edged blade is well forged much like the best Maasai spears. The original handle is leather finely sewn together. The original scabbard is in good condition with leather over wood. It is rare to find a Maasai warriors sword of this age, size and quality.    

31 inches overall with a 22 inch blade. 19th century, Tanzania, Africa.
