INDO812: Sumatran Pedang Sword

19th century Pedang / Klewang from the Palembang area of Sumatra. The well carved bird head form horn handle has a silver collar and a good patina from age and use. The long blade has a strong and active pamor pattern and a hollow ground groove near the top edge. The scabbard is in fine condition with silver fittings and bands.
