INDO814: Dayak Shield

An unusual and intricate Dayak war shield. The black and red pigments are all natural, but the small details of green color are early commercial paint. There are a few stains, and the top right corner detail is not crisp. Good dark overall patina from age and use.

– 48 inches tall by 12.5 inches wide. 19th century, Borneo, Indonesia.    ....$4500.00
