PH836: Moro Kris

A fine 19th century Moro battle Kris sword with 21 waves in the blade. The cockatoo style pommel is a fine grained wood with a good patina from age and use. The original handle wrap is braided twine with two silver fittings. The two stirrups are made of copper. The rare extra wavy blade is well forged and shows more of a linear pattern on one side then the other. Unfortunately there is no scabbard with this one.

28 inches overall with a 22 inch blade. 19th century Southern Philippines.
