INDO810: Dayak Mandau Sword

A very nice 19th century Dayak Headhunter Mandau sword. The intricately carved antler handle has Aso, faces, leaches, and loops, but there is one loss of a loop on one side. The handle wrap is silver wire. The blade is well forged, but not very fancy, made for fighting. The scabbard is intricately carved with leaches and sprouts as well as the extra antler carving on one side. Overall a good patina from age and use.
