PH843: Northern Philippine Bicol Sword

Unusual Bicol sword from the Northern Philippines. The handle grip is horn, and the hand guard is iron with two small collars of brass. The blade is well forged with a hardened edge, and chiseled decorations on one side. Overall good patina from age and use.

24 inches overall with a 19 inch blade, ½ inch thick back edge. 19th century, Northern Philippines.
