AF644: Kaskara Sword

A large Sudanes Kaskara sword. The wood handle is adorned with the original twine decoration, remnants of leather and a silver collar. The hand guard is steel, and the native made blade is well forged with a hollow ground fuller. Unfortunately no scabbard with tis one.     

40 3/4” overall with a 35.5” blade . 19th or early 20th century, Sudan, Africa.
