AF657: Kuba Knife

An unusual variation of the Kuba knife. Both the handle and the blade have a different shape then the classical "Ikula" or "peace knife". The wood handle has intricate lead inlay, and the well forged blade has some chiseled decorations. The overall patina is good from age and use.

16 inches overall with a 12 inch blade. Early 20th century, D. R. Congo, Africa.
