AF448: Songe Axe

Songe axe with the shaft entirely covered in monitor lizard skin. The axe blade is simple but has a good dark patina from age and use. This type of axe was most likely used for ritual and as a prestige symbol rather then for battle. Good overall condition with a nice patina from age and use.
